Lion President at the rememberance day parade in Ampthill

Ampthill & District Lions Club were delighted to present Bedford Hospital Stroke Unit with a cheque for £600 towards the sensory garden they are creating to give patients some time away from the ward.   Lion President Paul McGovern is pictured with Lion Kath Wilson presenting the cheque to Jossette and Irene from the Stoke Unit.

The money was raised from the raffle at a recent Senior Citizens “Sing-A-Long” evening plus money from our Wishing Wells and a private donation from the family of one of our members who had very successful treatment for a stroke within the Bedford Hospital Stroke Unit.
