About Ampthill District Lions
Ampthill District Lions Club is a member of Lions Clubs International the worlds Largest service organisation. With 1.4 million members, active in almost 44,000 communities around the world. Lions are dedicated to selfless, effective community service.
Ampthill District Lions Club was formed in 1980 for the purpose of serving our community. We are a progressive club, open to both men and women. Our aim is to make a difference do some thing to benifit the community and have fun in the process.
Lions are ordinary people who do amazing things. They are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarion causes in their local community and gobal communities. In the British Isles and Ireland and the rest of Europe. Lions donate around 5.7 million hours and 88 million pounds to humanitarion causes each year.
As a volunteer organisation all the money we raise goes directly to charity. All administration costs are met by members.
We cover Mid-Bedfordshire between the M1 and Shefford, centred on Ampthill and Flitwick with Harlington in the South and Cranfield in the North.
At present we have 20 members but always welcome those that come and find us.
We meet on the First and Third Monday of the month at the Jolly Coopers in Flitton starting at 8pm.

Advanced Notice of a new Community event to be held in Flitwick
On Saturday July 7th 2012 we are planning to hold what will be our first
"Lions Summer Fair".
With kind permission of the headmaster,it will be held on "Woodlands school" playing fields.
